For the first time we had an ATV tent at the Dunstable Downs Radio Club Bootsale. This is a very large amateur radio rally, maybe the biggest in the south east. We had representatives form the BATC, North London - GB3EN, Luton and Dunstable - GB3TV/TZ, Bushey Heath - GB3BH, all showing various analogue and digital equipment in working order with receivers operating for GB3TZ and GB3TV.

Our group was well represented by Tony with his OB Vehicle and Mike - G6GIF who manned the stand all day with other members of our group visiting from time to time.

The aim of the show was to try to get more amateurs interest in ATV. We had some success with 5 new members for the BATC one new member for GB3BH and lots of application forms were taken for all the groups. In time we will find out if any of those forms get returned.

Picture shows our giant tent. The only negative side was the high wind that prevented us putting all the masts up and nearly blew the tent away. Would we do it again, probably if the enthusiasm of the participants is still there. Many thanks to everyone that helped and especially to Phil, G8XTW the bootsale organizer for his encouragement.

The current setup at Binfield has been removed. The key components plus a new controller are to be installed as an internet streaming repeater at Woodcote. A much higher site and directional antennas will give HV the home counties coverage it once had. We are hoping to go live at the end of February when the broadband has been installed. We will be transmitting 23cm from this site later in the year.
Already plans are in place to have a 70cm digital input and a link to GB3BH to centralize our Wednesday night activity nights.
